The story of one composition

Post by FOMIN »

Gravedigger P. A. Bredov recently retrieved several positions from the archive of master N. Grushevsky, intended for publication in the newspaper "Zvezda." The author of these lines submitted one of these positions, intended exclusively for solvers, for a solving competition in 1981.

Apparently, N. Grushevsky didn't like the external form of this composition and he ignored it .Much years later digging through the Grushevsky archive P. A. Bredov drew attention at my work .. He writes: "Guess the author." The author of this work recognized himself in the Grushevsky publication. Plagiarist P. A. Bredov, however, during 44 years after A. Fomin letter to N. Grushevsky , did not take advantage of the opportunity to create a masterpiece in its completed form, based on this template and now clowns around according to the motif of R. Leoncavallo's famous opera "Pagliacci" . . Here is this masterpiece from 1981. Published for the first time..
A. Fomin, 1981 , first publication.
