That's how I've been wondering lately how much interest there is in this tournament.
Because you told me six months ago that there would be no tournament this year, I haven't done anything to the new version of the program.
The version from the last two tournaments wasn't great; it had (too) many bugs, and the network was not optimal either.
If I can find enough time, I will try to send you an update of the old version by the end of August.

Yes it's true. There was not supposed to be a tournament this year, but I changed my mind. Thanks for the information Joost.

Krzysztof, thanks for organizing. What was the reason you changed your mind?
This year I celebrated my 50th birthday. I have not been on a vacation for many years - forgotten what they look like. For many years I devoted myself to draughts. And I changed my mind thanks to the programmers who surprised me with new versions. I would like to see two more programs in tournaments in the future - Damy and Dios 2000. I would also like to ask one of the programmers to help me with draughts. That person is Gijsbert Wiesenekker, or a person who can program in python.
i can imagine that you deserve a vacation. Your tournaments are highly appreciated. Based upon historical results Damy and DIOS should indeed join the party.
On the other hand I hope that many programmers will make a HUB-version of their engines, so you can automate these matches, and you have more free-time in the future, so you really can enjoy your holidays..
If you have 10 HUB engines then I think you could already play a decent tournament.

I think I will not see the Damy program again. Gérard Taille has already lost interest in his program and draughts. You can read more about what Gérard Taille is doing now here http://www.ffjd.fr/forum/sujet.php?id_sujet=72900
The start of the tournament “ The Unofficial World Championship Of Computer Programs In International Draughts 2024 ” tomorrow at 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. You are cordially invited.
