De toernooien (twee inmiddels iedere avond, 1 om 2030 en 1 om 21.30) lopen goed. Uitzondering vormde gisteravond toen er even niemand was om het toernooi te begeleiden en toen het toernooi met 18 deelnemers in ronde twee even klem liep. Dat proberen we natuurlijk niet nog een keer te laten gebeuren. In de tussentijd zou het leuk zijn als de belangstelling verder aantrekt zodat we een derde toernooi kunnen gaan aanbieden. Daartoe is het van belang dat zo veel mogelijk clubdammers en recreanten kennis maken met de actie en met de server. Gestaag zouden we dat met de hulp van iedereen willen bereiken:

Officieel bericht volgt deze week (vlak voor de games zelf). De aanvankelijke winnaar heeft besloten geen gebruik te maken van de prijs, de (vanzelfsprekend al getrokken) reservewinnaar zit momenteel in de laatste fase van de visumprocedure. De namen van de andere prijswinnaars (die zelf reeds op de hoogte gesteld zijn) volgen dan ook.

Sinds 26 november staat op de website van de KNDB het bericht 'Iedere avond twee online blitztoernooien op KNDB Damserver' met daarin o.a. de volgende tekst 'Van de sinds maart 2011 geïntroduceerde functionaliteiten zijn de module voor online toernooien en de mogelijkheid om de damserver via mobiele Android devices (telefoons en tablet computers die op Android draaien) de belangrijkste.'

Echter, wanneer ik de damserver probeer te benaderen vanaf de Nexus 7, volgt een melding dat de Adobe Flash Player benodigd is, en die wordt volgens mij vanaf versie 4.1 niet meer ondersteund door Android. Zie ik wat over het hoofd, of is de claim over de ondersteuning van Android devices wat te ruim?

Dat is een goede (technische) vraag daar kom ik (als nog-niet-Android-gebruiker) op terug. Ik heb begrepen dat e.e.a. ondermeer / vanaf Android Icecream werkt.

Overigens is het aantal dagelijkse toernooitjes uitgebreid naar vier. Nederlandse tijd:

00.30 uur (oa voor Brazilië / Pan Amerika)
14.30 uur (oa voor China / Mongolië / Azië)
20.30 uur (oa voor Nederland / Europa / Afrika)
21.30 uur (oa voor Nederland / Europa / Afrika)

De toernooitjes starten automatisch bij een aantal van minimaal 6 deelnemers. Als er geen 6, maar 4 of 5 deelnemers zijn start het toernooi (volgens aangepaste formule) vijf minuten later automatisch alsnog. De toernooien van 20.30 en 21.30 vinden grotendeels doorgang. Het toernooi van 00.30 uur moet nog 'aanslaan' in Brazilië. Gisteren is het toernooitje van 14.30 uur voor het eerst gespeeld met vier Mongoolse spelers.

De namen van de SportAccord Online Actie zijn op fmjd.org en kndb.nl gepubliceerd. Het artikel op kndb.nl is momenteel door een technisch probleempje niet zichtbaar maar dat zal binnenkort ongetwijfeld verholpen zijn.
