Oct 1-10 China: First Lishui (semi) Open Tournament

The tournament is semi-open because of the following criteria:

- maximum 3 players per country, China excluded
- FMJD rating 2100-2200
- maximum number of non-Chinese players: 20.

Tournament schedule:

October 1st arrival and technical meeting
October 2 Opening and round 1
October 3 round 2
October 4 round 3 and 4
October 5 rest day
October 6 round 5 and 6
October 7 round 7 and simul
October 8 round 8
October 9 round 9 and closing
October 10 departure

Prizes for best 16 male players and best 12 female players. Total prizefund for men and women combined 200.000 RMB (at 13/4 exchange rate accoring to http://www.xe.com 31,733.20 US dollars or 24.135 euros). Men 120.000 RMB, women 80.000 RMB.

Strength range has been extended to FMJD rating 2000-2200. If you want to participate and are slightly above or under the rating limit, please do not hesitate to contact me to see if and what is possible. The same goes if you see a financial challenge, maybe the organization can help you a little bit.

Because of relatively short time untill the tournament I recommend to in case of interest directly send me a scan or photo of your passport so that the organization can make a visa invitation for you and have it ready for you in case you decide to participate.

Op de website gaat het opeens niet meer over Lishui, maar over Shanghai en wordt een datum 3 december genoemd. Ik heb het idee dat er iets is blijven staan van een vorige keer.

Hoi Eric,

Bedankt voor de tip, het was inderdaad een overblijfsel van het Xin Tai toernooi en is nu aangepast.
Shanghai is de aanbevolen aanvliegplaats, vandaar regelt de organisatie op 1 oktober vervoer voor de spelers naar Lishui. Omdat een aantal spelers waarschijnlijk eerder (avond van 30 september) in Shanghai arriveert zal er op de website wat informatie gegeven worden over hotels die in dat kader praktisch zijn.
