Unbeleavable tension.
But do you feel it in its full? Imagine you are one of the players there.
And just one mistake would cost you years of work and welth.
Win just once - and you have everything. Everything?
No, not everything. But. You, World champion go back to you country. You are being met as hero.
Press, TV, meetings on highest level.
Bonus from the governement (and not always bad, it can be new house or new car or just some substantial amount of money, mostly more then the price money on the humble draughts World championship)
Participation in "Best sportman of the year show" etc.
Few months of extremal positive emotions.
And then after - several months of preparation for the next Match for the World title 2004. As the World Champion you will get all support from your sport authorities in all traject of preparation.
You will know your next goal. You will go for it - to prolong your title.
But even if a case you will loose the match in 2004 - you will earn good money, you are guaranteed for the place in the next World championship. You know the sence of your live for the coming year(s). And it is all in your hands.
But now. In this match. If one blackout. If one mistake. If one instant wrong calculation where thousands were superb. One move made too quick or too slow - and you have NOTHING. All above but in negative.
Gentlemen! Please don't judge the players for all this draws.
And don't say that they are not enaugh sharp. It is really too heavy for any human if everithing is in the game.
Are you blaming tightrope walker that he is not willing to fall down?
