Information received from W. van Beek
Paris – Dakar
The cheapest option is Air Europe (a subsidiary of Iberia) for € 427, but they leave on Saturday 9 and return on Sunday 24 (very early, one is in Paris at 9.20). This is the option I have been waiting for.
This is interesting for those who do not have to play the Dutch club competition. The organisation will host you the extra days.
For those who do have to play on the 9th: a good option is Point Afrique € 487, travelling 10/12 and returning 24/11 (the organisation will host participants the two extra nights at no expense). It is an airline (charter in fact) that allows for more than 20 k luggage at reasonable cost.
Other options are Axis Airways and Air Méditerranée, for € 484, and TAP (Portugal) for € 499.
The return trip will usually be in the early morning of the 23 or 24 : 02.00 h, and participants will be in Paris about 10.00. So a return home on the 23rd is usually possible, or on th 24th for those who chose the first option.
Bruxelles- Dakar
The best option here is Alitalia: € 516 (9/12 - 24/12 - I will use this one), or Iberia € 540 (11/12 - 23/12)
Geneva - Dakar
best option with TAP (Portugal) € 529, return flight early 23rd, arr. Geneva 11.25.
One must not wait much longer with buying the ticket.
