9. Medical Committee and anti doping.
The report and planning of the President of the Medical committee Oumar Thiero were discussed. The main thing for the coming year is the introduction of a small number of out of competition tests. Mr. Thiero will send a request for information about clubs and players to the federations and then select a few federations and some players to be candidates for out of competition tests. From these candidates a final selection will be made for the tests. The tests will be carried out by the National Anti Doping Organizations.

Tja, wat moeten we hier mee? 't Was al idioot en het wordt nu nog idioter. Een dopingreglement is voor dammers net zo zinvol als een buitenspelregel.

IK vind dat de spelers van VBI HUissen gecontroleerd hadden moeten worden op doping tijdens de bekerfinale.
Op de KNDB-site lees ik namelijk:

VBI haalt gram in bekerfinale

Dan vraag ik me dus af:
Betreft het hier een gram cocaĩne?
Een gram amfetemines?
Haalde de Bal een grammetje weed?
Zat Gerard aan de dope?
Waarom keek de Kraai zo raar uit zijn bloeddoorlopen oogjes?

Buitenspelregel? Je bedoelt de regel waardoor Nitsch een nul kreeg aangewreven, omdat hij buiten het spel en zelfs de speelzaal werd aangetroffen zonder toestemming van de arbiter?

De zin ervan lag toch niet in het gebruik maar de aanwezigheid van een dopingreglement? Anders zou dammen nimmer olympisch kunnen worden.

Ik zal experimenteel neuropsycholoog dr. John Stins eens vragen of doping voor dammers bestaat.

Dat is inderdaad de rechtvaardiging, maar als er in het Olympisch reglement zou staan dat alle aangesloten sporten een buitenspelregel moeten hebben, dan zou je die toch ook niet wiillen invoeren? Onze bestuurders zouden het IOC duidelijk moeten maken dat hun eisen onzinnig zijn in plaats van hakkenklappend de bevelen uit te voeren.

Ik zal experimenteel neuropsycholoog dr. John Stins eens vragen of doping voor dammers bestaat.

Zoals een schaker ooit zei: als doping voor denksporters zou bestaan, dan zou men het gebruik direct verplicht moeten stellen.

Niet dat ik weet, maar ik vermoed dat het een perfectionist was die zich ergerde aan de blunders die een doorsnee partij ontsieren.

Helmut Pfleger heeft ooit geëxperimenteerd met betablokkers. Het was geen succes. Doordat zijn bloeddruk laag bleef voelde hij ook geen spanning, en was hij dus veel minder alert dan tijdens een 'gewone' partij. Hij werd dan ook als een mak schaap naar de slachtbank geleid door zijn tegenstander.

Of course no doping.
Why should it be?
They don't get any strange liquids in their body.
Personally I believe in acupuncture, although the results are not proven by science. But dope? No way.

Echt mooier is ze er overigens niet van geworden.

Taoïstisch Chi-dammen. De naalden prikkelen de chi die door de meridianen stroomt. Kun je ook gewoon met geestkracht doen.
Voor het eerst is het me duidelijk waarom Chi-zhov zo sterk was... Ladingen chi die door het lichaam van deze multi-orgastische grootmeester stromen!
