Maybe you're right Jacques, maybe Louicéus Image is the best,
and not Anthony Alexandre Image

On the other hand, some people think these ones are better:
Claude Bouloute Image
Vladimir Vigman Image
Alexandre Mogiljanski Image
Igor Rybakov Image

and possibly I forgot some, like Vladimir Veytsman and of course Guno Burleson, here with Wieger Wesselink, the champ in Open Curaçao 2001.

As to me, the strongest American player is GMI Vladimir Vigman.
Here's a picture from the very strong Soviet team, somewhere in the late eighties:

Do you recognize these grandmasters Jacques?
And do you know the beautiful booklet 'Grand Maître, abandonnez!'??

I am not so sure about that. Anthony made a big mistake in a very good position when he was playing L.S.W. !

Why dont you add a little diagram, so other readers can see what you are talking about?

Americans players couldn't compete for Panamerican championship in CAP-HAITIEN beginning of January because american authorities had advised them to not to go in HAITI. This country had had big political problems during January, February and March.

I hope that the former soviets players (Now in USA) will have the possibility to compete for next competitions abroard.

I recognize A. BALYAKINE from the picture you post here, Bert. Only him.
I don't know a lot (photo) the former USSR players.
Will you indicate their names please ?

About CLAUDE BOULOUTE : A lot of Haitians players told me that he is a very strong player.

Hello everybody! I just added most of the games. I intended to add them earlier but had (and still have) problems with some of the annotations. About 90% of them are online now. There are also some pictures.
About the scoring table, I couldn't see the errors you talked about Jacques. Can you let me know where they are so I can correct if necessary.

In fact: Sijbrands made of course a big mistake, but Bergsma didn't see the combination at all!

To Hanco Elenbaas - you should mention where you took all these pictures from

By the way - Vladimir Vigman does not live in the United States - I just put his picture in out of respect for the brilliant guy!
