Another example of this is N. Grushevsky's performance at one of the competitions (I don't remember if it was the Belarusian Championship or something else), when all his neat and beautiful miniatures-100 matched, while the " sloppy one" had a strong predecessor.
Back then, it was surprising—how could it be? They all matched!
Now it's not surprising. I just came to understand the situation.
