RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. The 1st Open Draughts Tournament Habana 2024 has been managed, approved and supported by the World and Pan American Federations for its organization and execution by the Cuban Federation of Draughts.
2. General Schedule Arrival day – Wednesday, July 31 --- Inauguration - Thursday August 1st 10:00 Closing Ceremony - Thursday August 8 18:00 --- Departure – Friday, August 9
3. Tournament venue and accommodation. The Tournament will be held at the Salon of Events Hotel Palco. Miramar, La Habana The official hotel of the tournament is Hotel Palco. (www.hotelpalcolahabana.com) The airport will be: José Martí. La Habana (Transportation from the same to the place of the Event through Cubadeportes. Sa)
4. Competition system The tournament will be held according to the Swiss system, 9 rounds. Game time: 1 hour 20 minutes + 1 additional minute per move. Assisted and regulated by Arbiter Pro. Main referee: Idalberto Capo- icapop238@gmail.com
5. In case of a tie Tie-breaking system according to Pro Referee or what is decided in a technical conference.
6. Money prizes minimum 2500 usd
7. Inscription Requests must be made to email icapop238@gmail.com for Cuban players and for foreign players to: emilioseguraaaa@gmail,com.
8. The deadline for application Is July 20th 2024. Although the number of participants is currently not capped, the championship organizing committee will decide, if necessary to close the final number of participants.
9. Protests or appeals to the technical commission of the Event, elected in a technical congress. Valid claims no later than 5 minutes after the match.
10.The competition fee is 100 usd
