Invitation
In 2022, the 12th edition of the international drafts tournament Heerhugowaard Open will be organized as a Worldcup *** event. This edition will be held from Saturday July 16 to Saturday July 23, 2022 in Sports Center DOV Helene Nordheimland, 1705LM Heerhugowaard. The tournament has an attractive prize pool and a number of side activities.
The games room can be reached by public transport Connexxion bus 162 (direction Heerhugowaard Icaruslaan) from Alkmaar CS. The bus goes 4 times an hour and takes 15 minutes. It is a few minutes' walk from the Zuidwijk stop. We would like to personally invite you to participate in this tournament.

The registration fee this year is € 60.00 for adults and € 35.00 for youth players. This includes 8 drinks. You are registered the moment we have received your registration fee.
COVID-19
Because the Corona pandemic will not end in July, we have to be very careful. We will follow the advice and rules of the Dutch government. If on this basis we have to reduce the number of participants, we will do so on the date of registration.
CONTEST CONDITIONS:
9 rounds are played according to the Swiss system.
The game will be played according to the Game and Competition Rules of the FMJD regarding a World Cup event.
PRIZE MONEY:
With 100 participants there is a prize money of
€6,000.00 (1st prize: €1,200.00 and ladies: €600.00).
In case of fewer participants, the organization reserves the right to adjust the prize money. Cash prizes are also available for the rating rankings (1st prize: € 150.00).
RESIDENCE:
Participants must arrange their own stay. If you want to camp, we recommend DroomPark Molengroet
(www.molengroet.nl) in Noord-Scharwoude. This park also has chalets and a hotel. More accommodations (including Bed&Breakfast) can be found on the website. Or contact the organization.
