R E G U L A T I O N S
Of the first personal world championship of end games in Draught-64
( 64-PWCE-1 )

1. The first personal world championship of end games in Draught-64 is official
world championship of the World Draughts Federation (FMJD). The FMJD bears the
solely responsibility for this world championship. The FMJD Board of Directors (CD)
charged the composition commission (CPI
FMJD) to organizing and control of the 64-PWCE-1.
2. The championship period – from 15
th
of August 2012 till 15
th
of August 2013.
3. The 64-PWCE-1 is carried out according to the CPI FMJD International
Rules (RI) for the end games in Draughts-64 (part 3.) and for competitions
(parts 6, 7, 8 ).
4. Allowed to the championship are end games which correspond to levels
either “Rules of Master” (RM), or “Super-master” (RS). The end games witch
correspond to the “Classical” level (RK) only are not allowed.
5.1. Cooperative participation is forbidden.
5.2. Co-authorship of composition is allowed, however the evaluation of
credit will be scored to one author who sent the composition to the
competition, but not more than two end games from the author in an author’s
parcel. The composition simultaneously sent by both (all) co-authors will be
excluded from the competition.
New, previously published (including electronic media, internet forums and websites) or the compositions taking part in competitions since January 1, 2000 are
allowed to participate.
6. The 64-PWCE-1 is carried out in four categories. In all categories “Whites plays
and wins”. Exclusion is the category “A”, where the task is “Whites plays and makes
a draw”.
The solution of the positions in all categories may contain phase for
“ Introductory play” (64-RI,3.1.5. ).
Category “A”. The number of pieces is the - up to four Whites and six Blacks.
Theme – Whites plays and makes a draw.
Category “B”. The number of pieces is the – up to two Whites and six Blacks.
Theme is free.
Category “C” . The number of pieces is the – up to four Whites and six Blacks.
Theme – both Whites and Blacks do not have Kings in the initial position.
Category “D”. The number of pieces is the – three or four Whites, and up to six
Blacks.
Theme – both Whites and Blacks can have Kings in the initial position.
7. In each category a participant can offer not more than two compositions,
indicating the competition category and the full solution to final position, to final
motive or system. Solution must be given in summary form with indicating only
compositional variants and compositional false directions and, if necessary, proof of
initial position’s legality. The coordinator gives compositions with solutions in
publication on web-sites and another mass media.
At the same time participant can give non-compositional variants, proof of only
solution, clarifications about the role and purpose of individual pieces, the full
publication date and place, or participation in competitions, and the evaluations and
etc. These complement the coordinator sends for the judges but not published with
positions.
8. Ranking and evaluation.
There should be two steps:
a) Judges evaluate positions based on 100-points scale and determine the proper
rank for each individual position in each category.
b) Then the compositions receive points according to their place : the first
place – 100 points, the second place – 97 points, the third place – 94 points, the
forth place – 92 points, the fifth place – 90 points, the six place– 88 points, the
seventh place – 87 points and then reducing one point for each subsequent place.
Compositions which have received the estimate 0 points in the distribution of places
do not participate.
Elimination of participating compositions (0 points) is only allowed in cases based on
objective criteria as described in the RI for the end games in Draughts-64.
9. The individual scores of the 64-PWCE-1 will be determined according for the sum
of his five best performances, irrespective of the category. This means that the
points of all the compositions of each participant in all categories of the
championship will be taken into account.
10. The additional criteria in the allocation of places in the case of equality of points
for the five best compositions as described in point 9. :
a) Score sum of the 6 best performances.
b) Score sum of the 7 best performances.
c) Score sum of the 8 best performances
11. The winner of the championship in end games section will be given the
World champion title and awarded with gold medal and a diplomas of CPI FMJD. The
number two and three the total scores are awarded with silver and bronze medals
accordingly and diplomas.
In addition, the prize includes:
For the first place – U. S. $ 200
For the second place – U. S. $ 100
For the third place U. S. $ 50
12. The jury composed of M. Levandovsky (Ukraine), I. Ivatsko (Ukraine),
V. Bieliauskas (Lithuania), A.Kaсiuska (Lithuania), R.Shayakhmetov ( Russia).
V. Shulga (Belarus) is appointed the championship coordinator.
13. All end games must be submitted via regular mail to the coordinator:

The compositions must be submitted no later than December 15
th
,2012.
Departure date is determined by the postmark on the envelope.
