Vond het wel een beetje vreemd dat dit jaarlijkse toernooi dat altijd veel aandacht heeft gekregen nog niet in de agenda van de KNDB is opgenomen, hoop maar dat er geen problemen zijn want ik wilde me voor de eerste keer in m'n leven inschrijven als tenminste de mei-maand blijft gerespekteerd.
Jullie horen nog van me indien Peter Pippel mijn mail heeft beantwoord.

Geachte heer Martens,
Het toernooi in Salou gaat door. Ik ben met de uitnodigingen in de afrondende fase en hoop ze deze week te versturen. Als ik een adres van u ontvang, kan ik u de uitnodiging toesturen. Ik kan ook een mail sturen, maar daarin staat beperktere informatie.
Het toernooi is van zondag 15 mei tot en met maandag 23 mei. De busreis start op vrijdag 13 mei heen en eindigt op woensdag 25 mei. De vliegreizigers komen op zaterdag 14 mei aan en vertrekken op dinsdag 24 mei.

8th International Open Draughts Tournament
in SALOU
may 15 - may 23
We invite you to participate in our 8th international open draughts tournament in Salou, that will be played from Sunday, may 15 until Monday, may 23, 2005.
The tournament will be played in the Swiss system with 9 rounds. The complete program is shown below. As all former years the tournament turns out to be a great event. Every year the participants succeed in having a good time, because of the combination of a good holiday near to the beach (50 m), a fine hotel-accommodation and most of the time a spectacular draughts tournament in which excellent draughts players as well as the weaker ones participate.
The accommodation for the tournament is the same as the last two years, namely Hotel Cala Font in Salou.
The participation fee for the tournament is ˆ50,--. The money prices (in number and height) will depend on the number of participants. The first price will be at least ˆ600,--. Other prices will be paid for highest classifications, the best woman, best senior (over 55 years), best combination or best game and a “surprise – price� for one of the weaker players.
Hotel-accommodation is available for the price of ˆ280,-- (including the tournament) and is based on a two-person room. For persons, who don’t participate in the draughts tournament, there will be an excursion. A reduction of 5% will be given to the people, who already participated in one of the former tournaments in Salou.
The hotel accommodation is Hotel Cala Font and breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
There is also a transfer from the airport of Barcelona to Salou on may 14 and from Salou to Barcelona on may 24. The price for both transfers (together) is ˆ30,-- per person.
