Hi there everyone! I'm chilling around, and still don't know if I'd be able to take part in the WC. However there isn't much info on this subject. Does anyone heard any rumours about it? Justin

To all federations and concerned persons,
The Italian Draughts Federation (FID) and the FMJD have the honour to
announce the World Championship Juniors 2003, to be held from 20 till 27
December.
We regret that this announcement could not be done earlier than near the end
of October; that was due to some organisational problems that first had to
be solved.
As a result the time for announcing of your players - and not to forget
their trainers/coaches - is considerably shorter than usually.
The WC Juniors will be played following the SWISS system.
However at this moment it is not 100 % clear to the FMJD office, if there
will be 9 or 10 rounds.
That's why I have decided to present here the following 2 possible
schedules:
date 10 rounds 9 rounds
19 arrival -
20 1 arrival
21 2 1
22 1 2
23 2 1
24 1 2
25 free free
26 2 2
27 1 1
SPECIFICATION of costs of lodging per day in the hotel Opera Figli del
Popolo:
sleeping + breakf(e)ast 21 euro
dinner 11 euro
'baglunch' (sandwiches) 8 euro

Dear President,
The World Draughts Federation FMJD has the honour to inform you that the World Championship Juniors 2003 has been alotted to the Italian Draughts Federation (FID). It will be held in TRIESTE from 20 till 27 December 2003. The responsable person of the organization is Mrs Eleonora Radin Bubbi.
Every national federation has the right to present three players. I remind that they have to be less than 20 years old on 31 December 2003. The first player will be taken in charge by the organization committee. The costs of the next players should be covered by themselves (i.c. their federation). All travelling-expenses will be for the sending federations. (An indication for the price of hotel with meals: this will be about 350€ per player and also per trainer/coach for the week.)
The enrolment fee amounts to 45 € per player for federations who pay the normal annual fee of 390 € ; and to 70 € per player for federations who chose to pay the low annual fee of 160 € .
The limit date of inscriptions is fixed to 22 November 2003. Please send your announcements to the FMJD office in Amsterdam, by preference by e-mail and send me a copy.
