How would one go about setting up a challenge/match!

Is this even possible internationally??

It would be interesting to see how the best players in the normal version of the game compare against the best in the 14x14 version, and vice versa!!

I find this very interesting. Now I have to set myself another goal. I already wanted to get a 12x12 board to be able to play Canadian rules, now I also need to get a 14x14 board to be able to play South African rules.

Could you also explain a little more about the rule that you mentioned about a penalty of a piece when not capturing the maximum amount of pieces? Does that mean the opponent gets an extra piece or is a piece of the player who makes the wrong capture than taken off the board, and is that then the piece that was meant to be used for the correct capture, or a random piece?

Great, thanks for answering. I think in the past this was also a rule in the 10x10 game. Some people still play with that rule.

Are there any places where I can play online? Would like to give a go at the 12x12 or even 10x10 version.

The good place to explore is http://fmjd.org/?p=promo

There are also linkt to the online servers.
I don't expect too many players 12x12 (this game is mostly popular in Canada , Sri Lanka and few other Asian countries)
But you will find a lot of 10x10 players.

Hello

I found a website that allows me to play 10x10 international checkers online. Its very responsive and cool
Only problem is the guys there mostly play the other games and not checkers.
I end up waiting hours for someone to accept a challenge and then ther level is not that good either.
It would be very cool if one of you guys can register ther for free and play with me. I would really like to learn a thing or two from the best of the best. . .

The link to follow: http://www.iggamecenter.com/info/en/main.html

PS: I have tried sites such as damserve etc where they only play checkers/draughts but i have a hard time getting it to work. I also tries the link in the previos post but for some reason i cannot get ot to work

Thanks

Thanks for this post!
The pictures are OK, don't worry.
Werll, frankly speaking I've never heard of it!
So how long does it take to finish up a game, I wonder as far as this is long drafts?;)
Would be interesting to learn about it and probably to try once.

I have added an entry for Dumm in http://pdn.fmjd.org/_downloads/gametype.html, with a possible numbering of the board. If this numbering is incorrect, please let me know.

I have now implemented Dumm in Zillions (however, without the huff rule). Zillions can also be used for playing games between humans over the Internet (although I've never tried it myself).
