Near to Guntis Valneris (Latvia), Jakov Shaus (Israel when that lived in Lithuania) and other players from Germany, Holland, Ukraine, republics Belarus we see a flag … Soviet Union. It from – that they lived in this state which there are no 16 years.
Hanco Elenbaas, it is not a shame to you, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia in 1940 have been occupied by Soviet Union. This same that in 1961 in the tournament table near to surnames of players of Holland, France have given a flag of Germany as 16 years ago they lived in the territory occupied by Germany. Or this flag give and now, near to surnames of players of Holland and France …
If it is provocation on OFFICIAL site FMJD it first of all is directed against FMJD. I do not think, that such table remains without attention in some countries …

The original message comes from the topic about the European championship in Bovec in September 2006 and it was meant to show the hegemony of Soviet Draughts Schools.
I replaced this message because the FMJD Board decided that the first non-Russian and non-Dutch player in Bovec was chosen to be the first substitute in the world championship in Hardenberg.
This substitute cannot be Alexander Baliakin, according to FMJD Board.
One must remember that Baliakin wasn't allowed to play for The Netherlands team in Dakar in December 2006 because he didn't possess the Dutch nationality. In May 2007 Baliakin is not allowed to play in Hardenberg because he is supposed to be Dutch. Strange, isn't it, Algimantas ?
It is good to remember that Baliakin was born in Archangelsk, with the Russian nationality and that he, as far as I know, still has a White Russian passport...
