[the introduction moves 1.de3 2.h:h2 was proposed by Dmitry Kamchitsky (Mogilev)]
14-th Moscow championship on drafts compisituon, 1987 , "problems-64"
Chief referee A. Fedoruk wrote in his comments: Curious, but lightweight. The move 2.gf2 is memorable, a clean finale . Rating: "good".
[/size]
A. Nagumanov writes: A variation of the author composition without sacrificing the king on the g5 cell , participated in the previous Moscow championship. (signature).
A. Fedoruk writes: "Combination play has been strengthened, but the arrangement of checkers has become even worse than in the position of the ideological predecessor (A. Fomin, 13th Moscow Championship, No. 38). Many checkers do not play in combination. The absolute rating is excellent, the relative one is good. The primary rating of judge A. Winderman is 7.5 points (?)
***************
In the preliminary results of the 6th USSR Championship, the judges gave positions No. 19 (No. 131) the following ratings: A. Winderman (8 points), M. Ben (8 points), I. Bugayev (9 points). The average rating is 8.5 points. After receiving the preliminary results of the 6-th championship, the chief judge A. Fedoryuk, without any reason, contacted judge I. Bugayev with the aim of revising his preliminary rating. As a result, I. Bugayev lowered his rating up to 8.5 points and A. Fedoryuk accepted the judge’s change of his assessment, that exceed the authority of the chief judge.

"Great combination idea, but there are many drawbacks: a) it is necessaty to prove the correctness of the checkers' placement, b) unnatural initial checkers' arrangement, c) checkers a1 and h4 do not play in combination, d) inaccurate finale in both branches.".
