Is there such a program?
I'm looking for a program (if there is one) that would help me save games horizontally during a tournament. I will write what I mean. I have my game saved like this:
01. 34-30 20-25
02. 32-28 25x34
03. 39x30 16-21
04. 44-39 21-26
05. 37-32 26x37
06. 42x31 15-20
07. 30-25 18-23
08. 40-34 12-18
09. 47-42 17-21
10. 31-26 07-12
11. 26x17 12x21
12. 36-31 08-12
13. 31-26 02-08
14. 26x17 12x21
15. 32-27 21x32
16. 28x37 18-22
17. 41-36 01-07
18. 36-31 22-28
19. 33x22 23-29
20. 34x23 19x17
21. 45-40 20-24
22. 39-33 14-20
23. 25x14 10x19
24. 40-34 05-10
25. 46-41 07-12
26. 31-27 13-18
27. 43-39 17-22
28. 37-31 11-17
29. 50-44 10-14
30. 49-43 08-13
31. 31-26 22x31
32. 26x37 14-20
33. 37-31 20-25
34. 41-37 06-11
35. 38-32 18-23
36. 33-29 24x33
37. 39x28 17-21
38. 35-30 11-16
39. 43-38 09-14
40. 31-27 14-20
41. 37-31 12-17
42. 27-22 21-26
43. 22x11 16x07
44. 38-33 26x37
45. 42x31 20-24
46. 34-29 25x34
47. 29x09 04x13
48. 44-39 34x43
49. 48x39 24-29
50. 33x24 19x30
51. 28-23 07-11
52. 32-27 11-17
53. 23-18 13x22
54. 27x18
And I would like to write it down this way:
01. 34-30 20-25 02. 32-28 25x34 03. 39x30 16-21 04. 44-39 21-26 05. 37-32 26x37 06. 42x31 15-20 07. 30-25 18-23 08. 40-34 12-18 09. 47-42 17-21

19. 33x22 23-29 20. 34x23 19x17 21. 45-40 20-24 22. 39-33 14-20 23. 25x14 10x19 24. 40-34 05-10 25. 46-41 07-12 26. 31-27 13-18 27. 43-39 17-22
28. 37-31 11-17 29. 50-44 10-14 30. 49-43 08-13 31. 31-26 22x31 32. 26x37 14-20 33. 37-31 20-25 34. 41-37 06-11 35. 38-32 18-23 36. 33-29 24x33 37. 39x28 17-21 38. 35-30 11-16 39. 43-38 09-14 40. 31-27 14-20 41. 37-31 12-17 42. 27-22 21-26 43. 22x11 16x07 44. 38-33 26x37 45. 42x31 20-24 46. 34-29 25x34 47. 29x09 04x13 48. 44-39 34x43 49. 48x39 24-29 50. 33x24 19x30 51. 28-23 07-11 52. 32-27 11-17 53. 23-18 13x22 54. 27x18
My question is whether there is any program that would help me with this. Thank you in advance for your answers.

You can write it as a PDN file, that writes horizontally.
With Tornado you can also Export the game as a DOC (*.txt) file, that is also horizontally.

Re: Is there such a program?
Import the pdn file in Tornado and Export it as DOC (*.txt).
That wil give a good result.

Did you try to export as pdn from Tornado? It will give you the desired result.

Copy the text of the moves to the clipboard with CTRL-C, paste it into kingsrow with CTRL-V, and now copy it from kingsrow to the clipboard with CTRL-C. I just did it, here is a paste from the clipboard:

Re: Is there such a program?
Thank you for your answer. I have a question, is it possible to save movements, for example 02, 07, 09? Do I have to fill in the zeros in the game record myself.Ed Gilbert wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 13:48Copy the text of the moves to the clipboard with CTRL-C, paste it into kingsrow with CTRL-V, and now copy it from kingsrow to the clipboard with CTRL-C. I just did it, here is a paste from the clipboard:

Hi Frank,
if you tried it, does the movement record have zero or not, for example in movement 02-07.

No zero, so: 2-7, not 02-07.

Re: Is there such a program?
No, there is no requirement in the PDN standard for the square numbers in moves to have leading zeros, so kingsrow does not generate them.Krzysztof Grzelak wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 14:23Thank you for your answer.
