Re: Match Kingsrow - Maximus - Test
I'm assuming that kingsrow played white in the first game. Something looks wrong about the way kingsrow is using its clock time. How do you have the time configured in the program? It had more than 3-1/2 minutes left on the clock at the end of the game.

Re: Match Kingsrow - Maximus - Test
Both programs were set up as follows:
Kingsrow
Time - 5 minutes for 75 moves
Hashtable size (mb) - 512
Cache size (mb) - 30000
Max.pieces - 8
Search threads - 8
Opening book - Best moves
Ponder - On
The program uses from full 8 figure base of endings
Maximus
Time - 5 minutes for 75 moves
Opening book - Best moves
Transposition Table - 32 M positions (25 bits)
Threads -16
Ponder threads - 16
Pondering - On
The program uses from full 6 figure base of endings
The official time on the clock was 5 minutes + 6 seconds - the additional 6 seconds is to make a move on the board.

Re: Match Kingsrow - Maximus - Test
What is the setting of "operator time" in the kingsrow dialog?

She didn't give this option. Because not all programs have them. I preferred to give these six seconds on the clock to make it fairer.

Re: Match Kingsrow - Maximus - Test
It should be set to zero since you are already compensating for operator time in the clock on the table.
I will check the time controls in the program since it seems not be be using it properly.
