3. Deep Nikita Andrew Lin (U.S.A.)
4. Dragon Draughts Michel Grimminck (The Netherlands)

fact, that it is played on the 8 x 8 Chessboard.
The (once again provisional?) list of participants for this tournament :

1. BCerberus Leo Nagels (The Netherlands)
2. Td King Ton Tillemans (Switserland)

Great news,

Nice to see old and new actors in action :D
Unfortunately the Draughts competitions are not yet properly published on ICGA website :? :(
It can be seen only on Event Schedule

I have a question about the Olympics. Whether during the Olympics the playing person can participate with not one's program.

I believe it's the other way around: A program can participate but the owner doesn't have to be the operator.

From Switzerland I wish all my Computer Draughts friends a very enjoyable tournament and may the best win.
Hope that someone can post intermediate results on this forum during the tournament.

Congratulations to Fabien...
A difference of 1 point between position 2-3 and 1 is not much, but enough for the victory.

Many programs, Scan included, have improved this year. It is becoming tougher than ever.

Congrats on your triple crown! What improvements did you make, and what did you notice in other programs? Will you publish your changes?

I see that the rate of your questions has improved as well :)

At least the authors of the following engines have claimed progress: Deep Nikita, Dragon Draughts, GWD, Scan, Sjende Blyn, and Slagzet.com. I could clearly see it for GWD and Slagzet.com. A sample of two games looks tiny, but the authors confirmed that they observed a large progress in other games.

Nothing visible for the top programs of course; only long matches will hopefully confirm anything. Elo-wise there are only few changes in Scan; most of the work was re-organising the code around immutable position representations. Eval is better and faster, thanks to larger patterns (which reduces their number) and higher-quality examples. QS is a tiny bit better as well by extending "opponent can capture" positions at the first ply of QS. Nothing else that I recall.

I am planning a 3.0 release in 1-2 weeks with the tournament version (with support for selected variants), and later perhaps a 3.1 one with some minor user-facing features like additional DXP options on request.

Congratulations to Fabien. Would like to ask something that interests me. Please write how someone knows what program I use Jaap Bus during the tournament.

Jaap Bus uses a simple excel sheet to track the results of the games (it does not include Sonnenberg-Berger, so it took us some time to figure out who was 2nd and who was 3rd...)

Thank you for the information Jelle. I wish I had the exact results I would have calculated privately Sonnenberg-Berger.

Hi Fabien,

Congratulations to you for this new victory. Scan is undoubtely the current best program.
Are the games available for post analysis?

BTW did you see my last post concerning the game Scan - Mobydam?
