A beginner question about move value...

Post by Arctic Jack » Thu Oct 27, 2016 08:44

I'm just learning 8x8 English checkers and downloaded Checkerboard alongside Kingsrow. I'm trying to figure out how to use it correctly to analyze moves.

I'm not sure how to interpret the data it is giving me. When I analyze a move and it gives me this below, I'm not sure what to make of the numbers in the brackets. They looks like fractions, some have negative symbols, some have stars, some have question marks.

6-9(1/17)* 5-9(1/17)* 8-11(1/14)* 15-19(-1/19)* 7-11(-72/9)? 10-14(-102/10)?

Can anyone help me decode this?

Cheers!

See the kingsrow help file using the menu Engine, Help. It explains the various formats of a search result.

Where is the Kingsrow 'Help' file? The help file on the Checkerboard explains its use but doesn't explain how to interpret the data.
