With Turkey invading Syria and attacking both sides of the ongoing local conflict, by attacking both IS fighters and the Kurds, Turkey has declared war against Syria as a nation rather than supporting the global fight against IS.
I call on the European Draughts Federation EDC and the World Draughts Federation FMJD to cancel all official international tournaments that are scheduled to take place in Turkey until this war is over, as the safety of participants cannot be guaranteed.
