Draughts games database

Post by chazareg » Mon Aug 22, 2016 11:45

Hello,

Is there anywhere we can download a database of a lot of draughts games (in any format as long as there is a specification) in order to train programs ?

(If possible of "high" playing level, with some indicators of the level - ratings of both players, etc. -)

Thanks in advance
Guillaume

The biggest database is with Turbo Dambase, over 500.000 games, but this is not free of charge:

Thanks, but what kind of format does it use? It seems like you have to use their proprietary software to open games.

Also, does other websites like Toernooibase allow to batch download games? I didn't saw any option for it.

The Turbo Dambase database uses it's own format, but once you have it open in the program you can import from different format, and also export in for instance PDN format.

I don't think Toernooibase has a function to batch download games, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to contact Piet Bouma about this if you want to be sure.
