Draughts
1. Participants
There will be 24 men and 20 women in the competition. The personal list is presented at the end
of this document.
Reserve players are in order of World Cup classification with a country limit maximum 3 (male) and 2 (female) players in the event.
After January 15th 2016 – reserve players will be nominated by Chinese Draughts Association (CDA).
2. The events
a. Rapid
- separate event for male/female;
- two days with 8 rounds Swiss tournaments;
- time control 20 minutes plus 5 seconds increment.
b. Blitz
- separate event for male/female;
- two days with round robin tournaments;
- time control 5 minutes plus 3 seconds increment.
c. Super blitz
- separate event for male/female
- three days event with round robin tournaments;
- time control 5 minutes plus 2 seconds increment for unlimited number of games to the first win.

5. Tie Breaks
A tie-break system will be used to determine the places. All money prizes will be shared in
round robin-tournaments The tie break criteria are as bellow:
a. Rapid
- median Solkoff: the largest total score of opponents played, not counting the strongest
and the weakest score
- truncated Solkoff: the largest total score of opponents played, not counting the weakest,
if needed the second weakest etc.
- average rating of opponents (FMD rapid-blitz rating on January 1st 2016)
- direct encounter
- better place on FMJD rating list for rapid-blitz (on January 1st 2016)
b. Blitz
- the largest number of victories
- the result between the tied players
- the best results obtained in the order of the classification
- better place on FMJD rating list for rapid-blitz (on January 1st 2016)
c. Super blitz
- the result between the tied players
- lower number of games in wining super-blitz games (faster winners are better)
- higher number of games in loosing super-blitz games (later losers are better)
- better place on FMJD rating list for rapid-blitz (on January 1st 2016)
6. Other info
Any financial responsibility of FMJD is limited to money received from the Chinese
organizers. This means that prizes will only be paid after FMJD has received them from the
Chinese organization.
