Herewith some Kingsrow - Flits Match results.

Code: Select all

Match W L D ELO
Kingsrow 1 Min - Flits 1 Min 29 7 122 49
Kingsrow 10 Min - Flits 1 Min 48 2 108 104
Kingsrow 1 Min - Flits 10 Min 7 19 132 -26
So Flits ELO increases with 49 + 26 = 75 , whereas the increase for Kingsrow is 104 - 49 = 55

For those interested the match games.

Thanks for this interesting match initiative , and thanks for sharing the results.

What was the hardware used for this match, did the 2 programs run on 1 machine?

Last but not least it would help me if you would include the match result in your post, so I don't need to browse through all games.

Good choice. This one is also on my "shopping list".
In Holland the price is around 549 euro.
It would be perfect for storing a 8p Database, with superfast access as a result.

I now use a smaller SSD for my 7p Database, and it is really helpful..

There is always a faster option just around the corner :D

My wish list for a 2015 draughts machine:

72-Cores Intel Knights Landing CPU
512GB RAM
1TB PCIe SSD memory card (like OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2)

Dragon and Kingsrow are much closer in strength than these results appear to show. I think dragon is winning the 1 minute match 25 to 3, because kingsrow is not configured optimally. It is probably the hash table; 512 MB hash is too much at this level on Krzysztof's hardware. I don't know what the best value is for kingsrow, but with 128 MB hash for each minute of gametime it should do better.

In dragon 4.4, it is no longer possible to assign too much space for hashtables since the hashtable size is automatically set to the optimal amount for the hardware it is running on.
