Generaliseren is niet netjes en een heel volk over een kam scheren verdient al helemaal niet de schoonheidsprijs.

Maar als ik het heb over buitengewoon ongastvrije zenuwpezen annex binnenzitters, dan kan het natuurlijk alleen maar over Italianen gaan.

Daarom verbaast het me iedere keer weer dat ik zo'n zwak heb voor Italiaans populair (trouwens ook voor Italiaans klassiek).

Bijvoorbeeld http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C07uOukxxls , maar er zijn zoveel van dit soort liedjes. Ik hou van welluidende melodieen.

Waarom vind ik dit volk, dat zulke prachtige muziek, en andere kunsten, voortbrengt, zo onaardig?

Leuk dat ik niet de enige blijk te zijn die RPWL kan waarderen. Toen ik op de cd-afdeling van warenhuis in Wenen liep was dit nummer te horen. Dat was mijn kennismaking.

Tot m'n verrassing kom ik in deze topic nergens tegen het onvolprezen Dream On van Aerosmith, in de oorspronkelijke versie. Het debuutalbum van Aerosmith was een van mijn eerste lp's. Het heeft lang geduurd, maar inmiddels zijn er ook in Nederland veel mensen die dit als een van mooiste de rockbloempjes aller tijden beschouwen.
