I remember the crisis in France when I read these topic subjects here.
What happened ?
In August 1995 in TROYES ( Champagne région ) the was the France championship. Amid the presents players was Didier ZOCK. He was born in Cameroun. So, probably ( to be verified) he wasn't a french citizen. The CD of French federation ( FFJD ) decided to expell him from the tournament. This decision displease a group of players whom decided to boycott this competition. You can imagine the disorder and the scandal.
the dissidents created a new federation ( ANJD ) !!!
After long negociations (more than a year) the two associations decided the reunification. But the damage had been done. There were two points of wiew : the 1995 CD sympathizers and the dissidents counterparts.
From 1995 to 2002, FFJD was ill because of this dispute. But in March 2002 I announced that I was volunteer to lead FFJD if I was elected by affiliated associations. An another list announced his stategy too. There was a fair-play campaign. And we lost the poll ( beginning of 2003).
Now everything is OK. FFJD is coming back.
Conclusion : Only fair elections can resolve FMJD crisis.

Cher Jacques,
I'm glad everything's fine now in the French Federation.
I always had very nice times in France, not at least during
the Draughts Tournaments in Vichy and the beautiful village
Verfeil (near Toulouse) in 1985 and 1986, organized by the
unforgettable Jacques André et Suzanne Offrédo!
I hope you with all your French charme and savoir-vivre
can avoid that we will finish with a broken FMJD!
A bientôt, Hanco

Time limited
June 7th, there was FFJD CD meeting. But because of lack of time, crises of FMJD couldn't be discussed. I will contact our President Jean d'ALMEIDA in order to release a statement.
