Updates as of April 12,2016 . Plz download the attachment

Writing an introduction on Checkers .The most important questions are addressed.

Reducing the number of guide pages from 29 to 23 by keeping the titles in the second page and deleting their separate pages in the subsequent pages.

Introducing the Unifying approach by the author, Jake Kacher who has been promoting and teaching Pool checkers for over 20 years. The approach addresses the issue of unifying Pool checkers, Jamaican to be in harmony with the other sister variants in the family, Russian and Brazilian. The unifying approach deals primarily with unifying the one who starts the game and the notation used.

Adding a minor clarifying statement to the Frisian checkers and related variants.

Deleting Persian. When in it comes to Persian variant, there is only one Russian reference and researchers almost agree that it is an invented game. If I receive email replies from Persians/Iranians, I will add the game again.

Introducing Dameo by Christian Freeling

Hi Sultan,

Maybe could be a very nice addition, try to add some details about draw rules, explaining the draw conditions for each checkers/draughts variation.

Regards,
Igor

Hello Igor
There are some special draw conditions mentioned in the checkers guide.
Thanks for your suggestion. This is what I am doing nowadays, but it will be a very tiring process as it will take much time.
Don't forget that there aren't federations for all checkers variants. Some games are connected to a Federation , others are not.
For the basic checkers variants, like Turkish, Armenian, International, Brazilian, Canadian, Russian, Pool, Frisian, Spanish , German, Czech, Thai, Malaysian , English/American, and Italian, it is an easy task. But for others, it will take much time.
Finally, take into consideration the draw conditios imposed by Federations and the ones imposed by agreement among players.
regards
