Informal poll by American Chex Fed votes to not join FMJD

Hello FMJD members,
On George Miller's site, www.checkersolutions.co.uk/ on the Bulletin Board, the President of ACF (American Checker Federation), Mr Lester Balderson, was reported having conducted a poll by mail and email of the majority of ACF members. The result was a large majority electing to NOT join the FMJD.

This is probably due to ignorance. The most often mentioned concern from the Poll was that ACF would risk losing its independent status.

Basically, most ACF members know little about your organisation or what the benefits would be from joining.

Why not post an outline of the aims and benefits of your organisation on our checker site, Kings Zone. We are an expanding site which focusses on Kings Room in MSN Zone, but also covers wider world checker issues, checker/draughts problems, interviews with well known Chx/draughts personalities, ACF National Tournament results and news etc. We also link into Checker Solutions Bulletin Board so those readers have ready access to our news items. I was under the impression that this 'informal' poll showed an almost resounding "YES" to joining the FMDJ.

Pity, but I didn't find any information about the poll there.
