Georgiev on my mind; where are Teer and Otten?

Post by Gezellig » Sun Apr 05, 2015 13:56

On 3 april 2015 (21:33) mister Teer reacted for the first time this year on this forum. About some dull record (topic on 35e Paas/Studententoernooi).
Shortly before that mister Georgiev wrote on this forum about the thought of ending his career (2 april, 21:15, in topic Komt de WK-match etc).
Mister Georgiev was active at the latest Tata Chess Tournament, but probably it’s too late for a chess career.
Dutch FMJD-President mister Otten and dutch FMJD-General Secretary mister Teer seem lazy and/or uninterested about the match between mister Georgiev and mister Ndjofang.

The FMJD is responsible for the organisation of (and also for the information about) the World Title Match.
So the President of the FMJD and also the General Secretary of the FMJD have something to explain.
Harry Otten, President since December 2009, seems more interested in the Sun, in Soccer and in the Elfstedentocht:

Don’t forget draughts, Harry. Can we wait for your “It giet oan”?

Dutch treat and going Dutch

So, the World Title Match will be held in Lent:

The two players, from Cameroon and Russia, will be glad to have the opportunity to play in our Free, Developed and Democratic World.
And they don’t have to pay for accommodation and breakfast, only for other consumptions.

Maybe Georgiev should forget this land of Lent and Volendam and Emmeloord.
And think about St. Petersburg.
A real city with real prize money.

World Draughts-64 Championships 2015 among men and women (Russian and Brazilian version) will be held in St. Petersburg (Russia) from 02 of October (day of arrival) to 11 of October, 2015 (departure day). Prize fund will be 3.6 million rubles (about 60 000 euros). More information will be published soon.

Right now the Dutch Chess Championship takes place in Amsterdam (near a train station).

Ever heard of Amsterdam?

Of course not.

A well-known and central place like Emmen would be much better!

Give chapter and verse (dutch: noem man en paard).
Otten and Teer are responsible.

The match will be played at the end of October in Turkey

Good for Boomstra, because Georgiev and Ndjofang cannot prepare well for the World Championship in Emmen (that will take place from the 8th of November till the 25th of November).

So Ndofang had to pray and plead in the General Assembly (11 october 2015).
To get his rights. By the way, a share of the prize money is also a right.
And he had to accept this “solution”.
It must be bad for his concentration.
Yesterday (Bacoli) Jean Marc Ndjofang (2370) lost the game against Natalia Sadowska (2190).

Less than a week ago the General Assembly acted.
Thanks to Turkey and Mongolia…….
And surprisingly Mister Otten and Mister Van Leenen personally throw some money to the match (€ 2500 each).
Because they are responsible for this mess?

The opinion of Pim Meurs (june 2):

One of the biggest defeats of draughts in history is that the World Draughts Federation failed to organize the World Title match between Jean-Marc Ndjofang and Alexander Georgiev. How can you ever take yourself seriously as a sport if you do not manage to organize the highest, most prestigious event of all?

Welcome on the web page dedicated to the most exciting sport event 2015.
