What happened to Damage? Did you use a very old version or with the wrong settings?

I think that Damage 5 is a version from 1995 or alike, not quite sure.
I put it long ago on the web as a free download.
Not sure if it have endgame DBs (or limited), really need to check on some older backup drives.

In a later stage I separated GUI (Damage GUI 20XX) and Engine, and used the GUIDE protocol.
The current version for the Damage Engine is 12.8, which has a 7P DB, and can utilize all processor cores

Why don't you give a version to Krzysztof? I think everyone is curious to the real strengths of Damage!

Good question Rein,

next to the GUI which is a free download, I also want to further work on the Damage Engine.
My challenge is still to get a close to Scan as possible.
In that case a new Engine makes sense, and I will make it certainly available to public, including sources.
So far all tests (with 158 games) which I shared, reveal Damage in the same ballpark area as KingsRow and Dragon.
It is really my intention to provide an Engine which is of value to the draughts communities.
But that is for now not the case, as Kingsrow and Dragon are better alternatives as they also embed 8P DBs

Hi Bert,

Last time you suggested that I can use your GUI as a an interface to the program I'm working on.
I searched everywhere and the only thing that I could find is Damage 2000 beta 4 which probably is (as the name suggests) an old version.
Would you be so kind to tell me where I can find the current version of the Damage GUI?
