Re: Truus - Database
Hi all,
I will appreciate any formation about where I can find this program: ''Truus 1.0'' for Windows? (I believed the last Truus was the MS-DOS version I had).
Is this version 1.0 for Windows really stronger than the last Truus for MS-DOS? Any information you can give about the strength/differences between both programs will be great.
Regards,
Troitzky.

Re: Truus - Database
Truus 1.0 is no longer for sale (at least not in the KNDB shop).
I have all TRUUS versions, and think that the (latest 1999) DOS and (buggy) Windows 1.0 version are comparable in strength (think the main difference is the 6P DB).
The only program available in the KNDB shop is Flits.
But to be honest........, i can not recommend either of the 2 programs.
Both programs are no longer actively supported, and are based on 32bit single-core systems.
If you want to start a museum , then both programs should indeed be part of the collection, because they provide landmarks in the computer Draughts history.
However, if you appreciate the past, but built on the future, I can only recommend KingsRow (Ed Gilbert) , which is still light years ahead of anything else available.
