This is a philosophical question, maybe even a rhetorical question. I think that creating a (really intelligent) draughts program is about 80% computer science and 20% knowledge of game strategy. If knowledge of game strategy was more than 20% important then I would never be successful at it [img]images/smilies/icon_smile.gif[/img] Clearly abstraction and generalization are important concepts in computer science, so I cannot disagree with the statement.
