I am very sorry but he is a sincere man Rein. As for Ed, Michel, Fabien and others, I respect them very much and I will not write any bad words about them. As for Gerard I do not blame him either. I only gave him his opinions. As for Bert, I wrote what I think honestly and openly. Rein please answer such simple question - the person who I write about something and later I do not keep the promise it ....Rein Halbersma wrote:Krzysztof, please consider your tone and drop the accusations, please. All of us here are unpaid hobbyists trying to write our own programs. We have jobs and families that take priority over hobbies. If anyone makes announcements, they are intentions, not promises like a company would make to its customers. Scan, Kingsrow and Dragon have raised the bar to such heights that beating this level is very hard.

To all involved,
it is and was my intention to share much in this forum.
And openly discuss all I'm working on, and also provide lots of source code.
As apparently I'm a liar, I conclude that my contribution is not valued, and I considered this my last post in this forum.
Good luck to all.
Bert

Bert, I have no idea what Krzysztof is upset about, apparently something you announced but didn't get around to. I don't think anyone else questions your honesty one iota. Please reconsider (hint: there is an "add friend" / "add foe" menu when you click on a user's profile, so that you don't have to see any future posts that you don't like.)BertTuyt wrote:To all involved,

As Rein I do not understand why this agression from Krzysztof. As usual on this type of forum we have two types of persons: the programmers whose hobby is to create a program as strong as possible or simply to explore new idea's, and the users whose hobby is to use these programs in order to analyse various games or in order to compare the different programs. (you note of course that a programmer may also act as a user!).
The programmers aim at exchanging on program conception while the users are waiting for new versions and aim at exchanging on match results or on analysis results.
As programmer I claim I am very happy with your contribution and I look forward to continue exchanging with you on BT draughts fascinating variation.
I guess (?) Krzysztof could be not happy if he was waiting for damage version but it is life. At one time a programmer may promis a new version but some time later, for various reasons (new ideas for his developpements or simply personnal reasons) he may of course change his mind. It is not a lie is it?
By chance I never mentionned that a Damy version may be available for users in a near future. I guess a user as Krzysztof could be a little desappointed but it is my choice and I am sure Krzysztof respect this choice.
I really expect to be able to continue exchanging with you.
Gérard

I understand and respect your decision Gerard. Unfortunately, in my head I would have some questions to You. Maybe someday I'll give you one.TAILLE wrote: Hi Bert,

All this is my guess - and I can be wrong in what I am writing below.Sidiki wrote:Ok, but what about endgame database used 6, 7 , 8?
Have you Damage 14.0?
book = 0
threads = 1
tt-size = 24
bb-size = 7
bb-preload = 6
The Scan played with threads = 1 or threads = 4.
Re: Internet engine matches
So Scan has 7 egdb?Krzysztof Grzelak wrote:All this is my guess - and I can be wrong in what I am writing below.Sidiki wrote:Ok, but what about endgame database used 6, 7 , 8?
