I have a question. How to play the usual party, so that the movement of the Scan was three seconds or one second. By means of GUI Dam.

Hi all,
Concerning Scan board, i know that hub don't match with Windows system, also Bert done it with Damage 2015, but i downloaded visual studio vcredist c++ but Scan engine is unable to load.
I need à help please.
I saw a program that enable many kind of games called Zillions of games.
Someone done a 10x10 and 8x8 and a killer variants downloadbale at mlwi.magix.net/bg/moderndraughts.htm
Is't possible to do the same with Scan?

I understand that you have a 64 bit system. Install all versions Visual Studio vcredist c++ 32 bit and 64 bit, beginning with 2005. After installing all the GUI version should work.

Hi all, i tried to install vcredist32 & 64 bits 2015 after installed al version beginning since 2005 ,but i got an error message telling me that the installation failed.
So Scan engine of Damage2015 can't run. Please Ed and Bert and others programmer, is't possible to help us. or do the same like Ed done for 32 and 64 bits without need of c++ vs2015 library? thanks

And what is the system and how many bits. How to write a message with an error occurs.

Hi Sidiki.

I have the same problem as you. Author GUI Damage probably a mistake (not intentionally) and instead make a Gui under our original engine Scan 2.0 is done Scan 2.0 but the versions Killer draughts. If you turn the engine and give the original but, unfortunately, it does not start. Original Scan 2.0 have 219 kb, while Scan 2.0 version Killer draughts have 189 kb. There is a difference, therefore, is not going to run.

Is there a source available for the Killer Draughts Scan 2.0 version?
Think it would be possible for me to modifiy it so it works with the Damage GUI, like Scan 2.0 .

Concerning Killer Scan 2.0 this is the zip file.
Also, sorry to ask it in this section but, i recently got a 64 bits pc and i will be glad to play with Horizon 4.5 made by you with all his files, the egdb also. But unfortunatly, all the link told me error.
Please can you upload it again for us? Thank.

Only changing the Movegenerator is not sufficient, as also the Endgame Databases are required.

I sent them to Walter in January, but I don't know what happened with his project. I can upload them for you.

There is also an eval file, but I had to change a scaling factor that is hardwired in the code; the value of kings is much larger as I recall. I have a version of the normal-draughts file with the same factor. The last change is to deactivate the "drawish" rules in evaluation. Having one king is no longer "safe" against 3 pieces.

Scan 3.0 (and the corresponding Hub 2.0) are now available on Harm Jetten's website:

It is the version that participated in the Computer Olympiad this year. You will need to copy the endgame tables from Scan 2.0 (directory data/bb) or download them separately. Or you can set "bb-size = 0" in scan.ini for now to deactivate them.

Scan 3.0 also supports Killer and breakthrough (BT) draughts variants. You will need to download the corresponding endgame tables separately and install them into the "data" directory. Note that, for BT, bb-size = 7 instead of the usual 6.
