Brithney, the present state of horizon on Windows is that it can run only as a DamExchange Follower for playing automated games against another program. There is no user interface, no board display, and no way to use it manually. It would be a nice project for someone to connect it to a GUIDE user interface as described by Bert and Michel, but AFAIK no one has committed to doing that work.

I don't think this is possible yet, as presently horizon only implements the Follower side of DXP protocol (Bert can correct me if I'm wrong), and the same is true of the truus dxp server. If you have flits, or dam2.2, (or another program capable of Initiator) then a match is possible because these programs can do the Initiator side DXP.

Ed,

you are right, i have only implemented a follower side of DXP.
Nevertheless it is possible to play a game (as Human) against Horizon by using the Dam 2.x GUI.
However the more sophisticated things like move back etc.. are not possible .

Hello Brithney,

Interesting to read that you are in Senegal. In Dakar? Last year, the Senegalese and Dutch Federation started a cooperation project. Do you also play or teach draughts?
