As Piet Bouma states I am very interested in feedback, especially when pairings go wrong, rankings are wrong or if you have good ideas for improvement.
For fixing bugs it is necessary to have the datafiles (the files ending with KW7 and 101 etc.) and a description of the problem, otherwise I cannot find a solution. My e-mail address is known by KNDB and FMJD webmaster. To avoid spam I will not post it in this reply.

Regarding some of your comments:
- there was a version active with a bug in the pairing routine, it was discovered by the The Hague committee and adjusted the same night
- by default color preference is not a pairing rule in draughts (apart from chess where there is an advantage for the white player), however you can toggle this on if you want to.
- own ratings can be printed in the rankings if you want to, just put it in the settings

Regards,

Jan Masselink

Thanks for correcting that bug with Solkoff in version 7.34a

BUT It isn't fixed yet

Please try Solkoff minus lowest / Solkoff minus lowest-highest with chessnotation

- own ratings can be printed in the rankings if you want to, just put it in the settings
I mean also change of ratings.

Today I tryed to add resuts from round robin tournament to that program, and guess it gave me pairings (with 12 participants in 1st round and standard pairings) as: 4-5, 8-12, 1-2, 11-7, 9-10 and 6-3. Strange, very strange.

And its good when for women tournament its possible to view women ratings and women titles etc.

Strange, Villem.
I did a little test. Toernooimanager version 7.34.
Dutch Championship Women 2008. 10 players.
First round: 1-10, 2-9, 3-8, 4-7, 5-6. I think that's correct.
I can add Women-titles and I can add Women-rating.
Just a little puzzling and maybe good instruction.
(By the way, I think it's incorrect, that the FMJD gives women-ratings. In draughts there can be complete emancipation! )

I can send you the .101 en .kw7 file by mail if you like (p.m.). This forum does not accept this extensions.

Edit: 23:09. To convince my self, i did also testing with 12 players.
Drawing first round: 1-12, 2-11, 3-10, 4-9, 5-8, 6-7.
Quite correct, i think.

I also don't understand why these needed, but I think nowadays its too complicated processs to make the only one list.

But about these pairings - I really did't understood why these strange pairings happened, and I tryed three times and everytime got exact the same result. And at least I added correct pairing manually.

You can send me these files...

One thing more. In toernooimanager today its possiböe to use FMJD and KNDB ratings. but maybe its good when we can use other rating lists too.
