Jean-Bernard Alemanni - Quidam for MS-DOS?

Post by pontel » Sat Jun 05, 2021 22:11

Before developing the well-known Windames 3D, Alemanni already owned two other projects, Dames 2020 and Quidam, both for DOS.

It turns out that the demo version of Quidam is only available on the internet, which is a little more limited in terms of functions.

Does anyone have the complete software or perhaps the author's contact information?
I can't find the contact even on the website: http://windames.free.fr/index.html

NOTE: The site lists many old programs by Draughts International and their respective authors: http://windames.free.fr/apage76_e.html

Hi,

I guess Windames 3D is an evolution of QUIDAM, anyway, you can download from a Web Archive snapshot: QUIDAM

Obrigado por responder Igor!
Eu já sabia que o Quidam é uma espécie de versão obsoleta do Windames. Verifiquei no site de arquivos que você indicou mas não encontrei, mesmo assim gostei muito do site. Walei pela indicação!

To make it easier, put MS-DOS applications in a folder on drive C:

Ex: The folder with the Dynamo checkers program.

Commands:

mount c c:\dynamo (enter)

c: (enter)

dynamo cd (enter)

executable name > (enter)

There's nothing to thank my friend!

Another possibility to run software for MS-DOS would be using the programs in a Windows XP virtual machine.

To the next...
