Re: New draughts tournament
I will have a new version of kingsrow at the end of February. I will also release a version of kingsrow that uses the Hub interface, and a tournament manager that can play multiple engine matches in parallel using the Hub interface.

Re: New draughts tournament
Sidiki, thanks for your reply.
I will post more details in the next weeks.
For your information the new version has a similar evaluation as Scan and Kingsrow.
So based upon the principles Fabien invented, and shared within the community.
Ed helped me a lot, as he provided me the proper tools.
So I really feel im standing on the shoulders of 2 giants....
The initial evaluation (I need to further fine tune), is based upon 1.3M games (self played by Damage).
This took around 11 days on a machine with 8 cores.
More to come...

Re: New draughts tournament
It would be more accurate to say that the principles were invented by Michael Buro in the 1990s and applied to Othello. Michel Grimminck (Dragon) was the first to apply this to draughts in the late 2000s. Indeed only after 2015 did this become popular when Fabien Letouzey introduced Scan and shared his contributions such as the patterns and the phase interpolation used. Implementations in Kingsrow by Ed Gilbert and in Maximus (by me) followed.BertTuyt wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2020 08:57For your information the new version has a similar evaluation as Scan and Kingsrow.

Only to know that We have 3 or more programs in the "same league" it's a very good new into draughts world and with some programmers as you, Fabien, Ed, Jan Jaap and the other, we, draughts programs lovers, will be always enjoyed by the news discoveries.
We want to see the next step until the release, if the self learning must implemented to permit to the program to continue learning even with our dxp or simple game it will be very very very great widget.
