Fryslân Open 2016, 15 - 20 March 2016 the second Fryslân Open tournament will be held.
This tournament is a mix of international players and Frisian players, playing Frisian draughts. The best of four each will play a grandmaster tournament on 18-19 March.
Some of the playerslist: World champion international draughts, Alexander Georgiev, World champion checkers Michele Borghetti, Grandmaster chess Vasil Ivanchuk.
FRYSK!: an easy way of learning Frisian draughts, played with 5 men each, started years ago as an endgametournament. This year a qualificationtournament on March 19 and a World championship on 20 March.
On 19 March the Open qualification tournament FRYSK! (maximum of 80 participants).
On 20 March the first world championship FRYSK!.
