TAVIRA Masters 2009?

With 2 grand masters and 6 players who wants a MF / MI / GMI norm / title.
Subscription fee: 150 euros, MF 125 euros, MI 100 euros and GMI no fee and free lodging.
Lodging: 10 euros per day on a double room, 20 euros per day on a single room.
Transport Faro airport-Tavira 2 x 10 euro
1st round Friday 4th December 15h
2nd round Saturday 5th December 15h
Sunday 6th December 3rd round 15h

The 2 GMI (rating +2300) who shows an interest in participation, will be invited personally.
If there is not enough interest for this type of tournament before November the 2th, this tournament will be canceled. [img]images/smilies/icon_sad.gif[/img]
But please inform me about your interest. I can search for another period (with very low lodging and flight prices!). [img]images/smilies/icon_idea.gif[/img]

Tavira Masters. (explanation)
Good performing players can play for titles. It is also a reward for that good performance.
International we know the "International Grandmaster" (GMI), the "International Master" (MI) and 'Federation (FMJD) master "(MF). A title can be obtained by achieving a certain performance in several tournaments (norm).
In general Tavira Masters will ensure: A tournament with 7 rounds, 3 foreign players outside the majority nationality and 3 players with an appropriate title. But for an MF / MI norm are only 2 GMI's required. 3 MI are equal for the 3rd GMI, for a GMI norm. (FMJD Annex X)
In Tavira Masters already “settled masters” (no need for more norms or titles) gives candidates the opportunity to demonstrate their strength and achieves a FMJD norm.
Settled players (MF/MI/GMI) necessary for the level of the tournament, pay no fee and get free accommodation. If these players are available or interested, they can send a confidential message to the tournament organization. (masters@santaluzia.eu )
