Thailand Open 2008

You are invited for the Thailand Open Draughtstournament. Underneath you’ll find further information about the tournament.
The tournament will take place in Jomtien (near Pattaya), Thailand.

Date: 23 May - 1 June 2008
9 rounds Swiss-system, FMJD-rules.

Everyday at 2 o’clock there is a possibility to join the daily excursion .

Inscriptionfee: 45.00 euro.
The tournament will take place in the Jomtien Garden Hotel (a **** hotel). http://www.bmair.nl/Hotels/Thailand/G/H ... -Hotel.htm We can arrange a special price for your stay in this hotel for you and your family. Prices of the hotel are 22 and 26 euro for one room/p day (incl.breakfast buffet). You can stay with 2 persons on one room.
This year there will also be the possibility to join a Roundtrip through Thailand (North), right after the tournament. This trip will be organized by Mattieu Corporaal, owner of the Tuliphouse in Jomtien(hotel/restaurant/travel office). He can arrange an advantageous arrangement for this tour.

We aim on at least 50 participants. Some players have already submitted an application! Beside Surinamese top players as Malahe, Sakidin and Kalpoe also players as old world champion Valneris will join! The current world champion Schwarzman has also been invited (not confirmed yet). Of course the winner of Thailand Open 2007 Alexei Tsjizjov had also been invited to defend his title.

After a little three weeks the Thailand Open 2008 will take place. We have a nice list of participants. We are very proud to have the World Champion Alexander Schwarzman as participant, and also the new Dutch champion Ron Heusdens will play in our tournament. There is still a possibility to join this tournament. Everybody is welcome. We can arrange your hotel in Thailand. We have still rooms not occupied.

A quick update of Thailand Open 2008. Today our friends in India make us very happy, because they will join the Thailand Open with at least six players.
