Good day to you Jacques,

No, unfortunately, we have to do with this
slow site! http://www.brunssumdamtoernooi.nl/
Difficult after a period with smooth, Ferrari-like
sites as Nijmegen and The Hague!
I thought you planned to go to China?!

After 3 rounds Laurent is number 5 Jacques, congratulations!
Tomorrow he plays Dutch youngster Martijn van Gortel.
I give Laurent excellent chances to win again.
If so, possibly Laurent is going to play Schwarzman!

Good evening Jacques!

Congratulations again!
Laurent is not unlucky with his program.
Tomorrow he plays another young player, Hin Wong.
But this one is a little more difficult.
I bet a draw.

Well Jacques,

Probably Kostionov will dance all night if he makes a draw with
Schwarzman tomorrow.
In this tournament Schwarzman is by far the best player.
It would be extremely surprising if someone else than Schwarzman wins
in Brunssum.
The website is OK now, isn't it?

Eric-Jan Hannen

Post by Hanco Elenbaas » Tue Aug 05, 2003 00:36

Certainly Jacques!
I think the committee consists of only one man: Eric-Jan Hannen,
the son of organizer Jac Hannen.
Eric-Jan is doing a great job!

Good for Kalmakov all this dancing from Kostionov!
Schwarzman tomorrow has an easy one: old veteran Schotanus.
Laurent Nicault meets Mark Deurloo, very interesting!

Tomorrow : Laurent Nicault - Alexander Schwarzman !!!!!!!!!!!
It's starting to become a strange tournament.
During the 5th round one of the players died.
His name was Frans Kalsbeek.
I think I've never met him.

He was not beaten during the tournament.
He died in the armour.
The Organization decided that all of his games
will stand and that all his next games during the
tournament will finisih in a draw.
The Organization also decided that during the
Funeral of Frans Kalsbeek, next Saturday, the
ninth round won't be played.
Wise decisions.
So, the tournament will finish after the 8th round,
next Friday.

Although all this makes it a little more difficult,
I still predict that Alexander Schwarzman will win
the tournament. But maybe Kalmakov has more
chances now than with 9 rounds.

Anyhow, let's hope that Frans Kalsbeek, the
inventor of the tournament in Nijmegen, will have a
good travel to The Great Spirit in The Sky, while we
are concerned about his relatives, who of course
will be in a shock.
