2005 panamerican championship will be played in MONTREAL in July. First registered players are known. Title's Holder is ANTHONY ALEXANDRE of HAITI.

VLADIMIR LUBARSKI won 2005 MONTREAL championship ahead of haitians-born players LOUIS GILLES, PAULVIN SIMON and JOSEPH FRESNEL (Born in GONAIVES) and local ANTOINE BLANCHARD.

VLADIMIR LUBARSKI is a registered player for PANAM CHAMPIONSHIP in MONTREAL.

As you know the 2005 Panamerican Championships are going to be held in Montreal from July 12-22. Eleven Countries will be represented in what is part, for them, of the official qualification process towards the World Championships.
I wondered why it has been removed from the "upcoming events" and is totally absent from the "Tournament Calendar" listed elsewhere on this website?

Kemnaad boos op Dambond
Wil niet verder onder huidige bestuur

Paramaribo, 9 juli 2005 - Rinaldo Kemnaad is boos op het bestuur van de Surinaamse Dambond (SDB) omdat deze
hem als semi-kampioen niet heeft ingeschreven voor het Pan-Am toernooi dat op 11 juli in Montreal, Canada begint.

Kemnaad ziet hiermee een kans mee te doen aan zo'n belangrijk toernooi aan zijn neus voorbijgaan
en voelt zich belazerd.

Volgens Kemnaad zouden SDB-voorzitter Raj Narain en directeur Ro Phoelsingh van Sportzaken de belofte hebben gedaan
voor aanvang van het persoonlijk damkampioenschap van Suriname dat de kampioen en de vice-kampioen Suriname zouden
vertegenwoordigen op het zone-toernooi in Canada.

Van de dammer Marcel Oostburg zou Kemnaad hebben vernomen dat hij niet was ingeschreven. De informatie zou ontleend
zijn aan berichten van het Internet.
"Vooraf heb ik brieven gekregen van de dambondvoorzitter om naar sponsors te brengen. In die brieven
stond onder meer dat financiële steun werd gezocht in verband met uitzending van dammers naar Montreal."
In de brief zijn de naam van Bendt en Kemnaad genoemd, die begeleid zouden worden door een bestuurslid van de SDB.
Verder is ook het geraamde bedrag genoemd tot een totaal van 7.625 US dollars. Het handgeld werd begroot op 3 x 500 US dolar.
