Choïce

Post by Jacques PERMAL » Thu Jun 12, 2003 17:28

So Hanco you have the choïce :

- Do you want to be a grandmaster ? If you do, you must have a good trainer : for instance, A. Presnam !!!!

Do you want to dominate all the players in blitz games ? If you do, you can train with Tuvshinbold !!!

As I am concerned, I wish I were better than Alexander and Hanco !!

By the way Erdenebileg is 25 or 26 years old and together with Kees Thijssen and Alexander Getmanski were youngest participants of the last WCh.

Asashoryu

Post by mongolia@fmjd.org » Sun Jun 15, 2003 07:38

Thank you Jacques,

Of corse very happy for Asashoryu. He is one of the honored man in Mongolia, currently. He has "Asashoryu" foundation. The foundation organized in 1 of June, the day for children, some tournaments between children including sumo, basketball, draughts and painting. I think it shows draughts is at a high level of interesting in Mongolia. Even Asashoryu interests it.

Also, his brothers are all wrestlers. One of them is a best wrestler in National wrestling in Mongolia.

Interresting for us !!

Post by Jacques PERMAL » Sun Jun 15, 2003 10:43

Thanks, Bata !

It is interresting for us that a big star like ASASHORYU still include our hobby in his festivites.

For foreigners, It is like RONALDO ( Soccer) had organized a big celebration in RIO including DRAUGHTS.

I usually see ASASHORYU performances in TV ( EUROSPORT). He is a good westler. And Kyokushuzan and Kyokutenho too.

Sumo's becoming one of the popular TV sport is phenomena which is also good to analyse and to apply somehow in draughts.
Will we open topic for it ?

I missed last tournament and when I look to the results :
Makuuchi Division Champion: Asashoryu
Outstanding Performance Award: Kyokushuzan
Fighting Spirit Prize: Kyokutenho

That was really the mongolian triumph.

Asashoryu - Dolgorsuren Dagvadorj

Post by mongolia@fmjd.org » Sun Jun 15, 2003 17:11

I am sorry. Asa did not play draughts in this event, because he was not in Mongolia in 1 June. He came in 3 June from Japan. Only his foundation organized this event, choosing draughts (in only 4 competitions). There was his brother, the vice-president of the foundation Mr. Dorlgorsuren Sumiyabazar. I can send you some interesting photos, but by which e-mail address?

Asa became one of 2003 Asian heroes from Time magazine. You can see about it from the address http://www.time.com/time/asia/2003/heroes/toc.html.

Regards,

Bata

Tuvshinbold is an exceptionally nice person.
While he -by far!- is the best player of Mongolia
he gives the other losers the chance to win
all these championships.
Tuvshinbold must be an Angel.
