The Netherlands - Russia

Post by Hanco Elenbaas » Tue Jul 29, 2003 19:14

In Brunssum, The Netherlands and Russia are playing
three games with eachother.
Both teams are not as strong as possible.
With the Netherlands Harm Wiersma, Ton Sijbrands,
Gérard Jansen and Rob Clerc are not playing.
The Russian team misses Alexandr Georgiev,
Milshin, Sjtsjogoljev, Getmanski, etc.

The first two matches were won by The Netherlands,
both with 9-7.
In the first Hein Meijer beat Tamara Tansikkytsjina.
In the second Dutch champion Kees Thijssen killed

Yes Jacques,
But Italy is still very weak, unfortunately.
Against Russia the Netherlands are also missing
Grandmaster Ron Heusdens, so the result is not bad,
although Russia has only three of their strongest players.
Very good from Kees to win Schwarzman again!
