1st European Blitz Championship

1. Tournament will take place in Prague (Czech Republic from 26th till 27th of May 2005.
Arriving: 25th of May, opening 26th of April morning, Closing 27th of May afternoon.
2. The tournament is only for players from European Federations which has NO DEBTS in FMJD/EDC.
3. There are NO LIMIT in applications from one federations.
4. Applications (ONLY FROM FEDERATIONS) should be sent to EDC till 12th of May 2005..

5. Time control 5’+5� (Fisher system)
6. Tournament will be played 3 stages:
a. 1st day (26th of May):
i. qualifications (Swiss system 9-11 rounds
ii. semifinals (2 groups: 8-10 players each). In case of big number of players limit of 4 players from one country possible (up to main referee & EDC), also some preference for Czech Federation (1-2 direct place in semifinals in case of not direct qualifications also possible)
b. 2nd day (27th):
i. knock-out system for best 8
ii. open swiss for others (tournament for places 9th - …)
7. FEE: 40 euro
8. Hospitality Costs – free for one player from each federation. For the others there is a lot of possibility in Prague depended on accommodation type. 40 EUR per day per double room, 35 for single room. Limited quality option for 12 EUR per person per day. 9. Just after ERC the jubilee 25th Golden Prague tournament will be played: from 29th May to 4th June.
