Re: Regulations 2022
Sorry to ask, what do you mean by writing "Your recipe is weak because the operator has too much influence on the results". Suppose program A is in the process of winning a game against program B. Then you make a mistake when playing a move on the DGT board. According to your rules, the game now ha...

Re: Regulations 2022
There are other thinkable ways to handle these situations. I am interested in what other programmers think. Your recipe is weak because the operator has too much influence on the results. The best way to improve this is to automate the tournament, as in computer chess. I polled this in 2019 but as y...

Re: Regulations 2022
In my opinion, declaring a loss or restarting a game when "something happens" is not a good solution. The premise should be to play one game between two programs and finish that game whenever possible. I understand the technical issue that correcting a move on the DGT board requires a page refresh. ...

As far as I know that software can not handle taking back moves. My software can, as I said.Krzysztof Grzelak wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 19:18Please see Jan if the software is suitable. I use it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-Vx-uFNddk

Re: Unofficial World Championship Of Computer Programs In International Draughts 2021
If this should happen in a real tournament, the Ares program should have a winning game. Not in an ICGA tournament, as I said. The technical problem was for another reason. Which was? What will happen if I make a mistake on the DGT board. You have to repeat the whole game all over again. I wrote so...

Re: Unofficial World Championship Of Computer Programs In International Draughts 2021
Of course there was also the first game Dragon-Ares in round 23, which would have been a win for Dragon if continued. That has more impact on the GC than SB or number of wins. 1. Damage NNUE 54 2. Dragon 51 3-5. Kingsrow, Scan, Sjende Blyn 50 6. Ares NNUE 49 7. Maximus 48 What do people think, was r...

Re: Question about endgame databases
I think it is important to notice that in the ICGA tournaments of the World Computer Chess Championship and the Computer Olympiad, you are supposed to use original work, and if not, mention those who work you used; the credits! And correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Ed made his endgame database...

Re: Question about endgame databases
I have a general question about using the kingsrow endgame databases in computer draughts tournaments. At least 2 programmers have told me they are reluctant to use them because they think they will be criticized for not using all original code in their draughts engines. I hope this is not the case...

Re: The Unofficial World Championships Of Computer Programs In International Draughts Blitz 2020
In my opinion an independent expert should investigate the claim that Edeon Sport is using Scan 2's eval. But that is up to the community.

Re: The Unofficial World Championships Of Computer Programs In International Draughts Blitz 2020
As I already told Krzysztof, I decided to withdraw Maximus from the unofficial world championship 2020. For the people who have Maximus this means I am revoking the rights to let it play in computer tournaments, matches, exhibition games, etc. I trust you will all respect this. Krzysztof, please rem...

Re: Flits self-learning mode
Ed, it is very gentleman-like of you to take the blame. So you are not going to share with us with what intention you gave the code or what you think of what was done with it. Don't you think Damage eval derives a lot from Kingsrow eval this way? More than Kingsrow eval derives from Scan eval, I wou...

Re: Flits self-learning mode
Yes thank you for sharing, Fabien. The Edeon case seems clear, if there is proof they should be banned. But of course they can hide it now if they want. I recently checked where my app for Android can be downloaded for free, not funny either. Now I have other problems: try asking Google and Samsung ...
